Hiring:  I am in need of an assistant this summer.  I will need a teen preferably here in Northfield and a girl who can drive to my place to come out with me on my photo shoots.  I just need help carrying all of my gear for each session.  If you are interested in doing this please let me know.  Also, if you are a 2011 Senior and want the job we can work arrangements for great deals on your portraits too.

Hope you all have a wonderful couple weeks.  I am leaving for Las Vegas on Saturday and will be out of reach until Friday.  Please leave me an email or voicemail if you need to get ahold of me.

This week I had two newborns.  Carter Blu was born to a friend of mine back in highschool and they drove all the way down from Forest Lake to have me photograph them.  It was so great to reconnect with his mommy!  He was an absolute gem. Slept the entire time!  We even had a picnic lunch while he slept. 

And today I had little Miss Daylia. This little girl just didn’t want to sleep!  We only got a few photos done so she and her mommy are going to come back in after the weekend.

Yesterday, I had so much fun!  I had 13 kids come into the studio and we all just had a blast.  Here are just a couple pics I’ve been able to edit so far!

On Friday, I had the most beautiful family come in for photos.  If you understood how I am even trying to find the right words for this post.  This family, has been through so much the past two years.   If you want to read their story please visit their blog.  People from our town probably know Jon and Ali’s story.  I don’t think anyone can put into words what they have been through.  I feel like that’s why I can’t even write about it here.

I met Ali at my friend Liz’s baby shower back when Liz and and I were pregnant.  We thought it was funny that we had the same name and then to find out our husband’s had the same name too.  We have reconnected through Facebook and I saw that they have been able to adopt this precious little baby Natalie that I contacted them immediately to have them come in and I would take photos of them.

They came in on Friday and we spent a lot of time photographing and talking.  Natalie was an absolute gem.  Jon co-owns Canon River Tree Care here in Northfield and I was telling him about some photographers that have done photos with tree trunks etc.  He said, he’d bring something in and I told him let’s go for it.  So yesterday they came back in and we took some more photos.

Here’s just a couple photos from our session.  They have seen these 3 photos.  Once they have come in to see all of them I will come back and post more.

Just trying out my new blog.  Will be posting photos from my Top Model photo shoot soon and also a sneak preview of the Feldman’s beautiful little girl Natalie!!
