Look at this gorgeous little doll baby! Oh my she’s so adorable! I met her mamma a few years ago when I did her senior photos and I loved working with her mama Felicia.
I absolutely adore photographing babies when they are between 6-9 months old. They have so much personality and spunk! I love some of the little faces we got out of Milania! There’s one in there with just major attitude and I think it’s so so cute!
I got to photograph Sam again! Here he is when he was a newborn! Look how little he was in his newborn photos! Just in 6 months see how much he’s grown! I love watching babies grow. It is so incredibly amazing.
He was super smiley fun baby! Man I love 6 month olds!
Last Friday I drove all the way down to St. Louis by myself to surprise one of my best friends who had just had a baby girl Mia Caroline. Terri’s pregnancy was an amazing surprise! She was told that she most likely wouldn’t have anymore babies and so this in short is a miracle baby! This is a woman who has been there for me thru everything the last two years. She’s the kind of person I can tell anything to. There just aren’t that many people out there that you can do that with. Anyway, my friend Terri had a new baby girl and I wanted to go down there and see her and photograph her baby. Terri and I talk almost daily on the phone and she is also a photographer. She had just been telling me she was feeling down because she hadn’t gotten any new newborn props for her own daughter and was feeling bummed. Little did she know that I had been buying stuff, having items overnighted to her house and I had packed up my van with all of my newborn girl props. Man was this going to be a surprise or what!
I called another friend of ours and I went to her house first. Her name is Teri too. lol Anyway, we drove down to Terri’s house and we did a Sneak Attack!
So, after surprising Terri, we had two days to photographer hew newborn girl Mia. Oh man is she beautiful and such a sweet baby!
Here are a bunch of my favorite images from the weekend. I haven't even gotten thru most of them. It will take me a while to get thru them because we took so many!
We thought we'd spunk things up a bit by adding some bright colors!
For these images, there were three of us doing these photos. Terri, was right next to her daughter making sure safety was at the utmost importance and yes these are composites.
I still have so many images to go thru. I seriously feel like my photographic skills took a new level over the weekend and I LOVE newborns! Terri and I have always talked about photographing newborns together but the problem is that we live 9 hours apart. We work so well together and I sure wish we could do our newborns together all the time. It was totally worth the 9 hour drive down there!
Like I said, Terri, is seriously an amazing person. I will never forget the first time I met her. I was doing a workshop in St. Louis and she was my hostess. We shared a room together that weekend and there were a few of us girls who stayed up till the wee hours just gabbing. We had so much fun together. We ended up doing another workshop together a little later in St. Charles, MO and then Terri and Teri drove up to see me!
It's absolutely amazing at how you can make such amazing friends over the internet and thru a business that we love. I have two photography best friends and that is Terri and Nichole. Unfortunately, they live in different states but when I do get to see them it is awesome!
