So Busy!

I have been severly neglecting my blogs.  So I am making time for it today.  I am all moved into my new studio and booking sessions left and right.  It is totally awesome!  I was just talking to my business neighbor too about doing something incredible in October for Breast Cancer awareness as well.  That is so near and dear to me because I never was able to meet my grandma because she died in her 40s and so I never met her.

There are so many things too that I am going to be coming out with.  From Picture Parties, to Jesse James Day Photos for my grand opening, to a Beauty Campaign inspired by a good friend Mandi in Utah, to the Breast Cancer Awareness photos and Fall Family Mini Sessions!

I haven’t posted any photos lately so here are an assortment of photos that I’ve taken.  Like I said, I’ve been swamped with work and that’s a good thing but I’ve been neglecting my blog.

Here’s baby Honor.  What an awesome name!  She came in to me yesterday and was an absolute rock star.  Here Mom and Dad had tried for a baby for 8 years and now they finally have a beautiful baby girl Honor!

Here are a few of my incredible seniors.  Oh my gosh this year they are absolutely amazing. Not that any other year hasn’t been though.  I dearly adore my seniors.  They become family to me as well as all of my customers.  I am so thankful to all of these people for letting me be apart of their lives!

And here’s baby Brooklyn too!

Ali Hohn Photography has Moved to….

downtown Northfield!  You have no idea how exciting this is for me to get out of my home and open a studio.  I have been in business for 4 years and am just amazed at how God has blessed us with my business.  I thank Him for everything.  A big reason for getting out of my home is that my husband always said I’d be going down in my dungeon (a.k.a basement) to edit etc.  I guess I’m the type of person who doesn’t know how to relax.  I take that after my mother.  Anyway, I am so happy.  It took us 2 long weeks to get the studio finished.  My husband said I was a slave driver hahaha.  I was pretty persistant in finishing though beacause the next month I’m insanely busy with seniors and babies.  I need more consistency and when you work out of your home there is no consistency.  You work when you can.  Either at 5 a.m. or at 1 a.m.  I am so not a night person so I was getting up at 5 to work.  Then my daughter lovely as she is gets up around 6:30 every day no matter what time we put her to bed lol

Anyway, I wanted to show a few pics!  We still have a few things to finish up.  We are putting up my sign in a few days whenever my hubby can get to it and we have to replace some carpet and just a couple odds and ends.

The first 5 people to walk in off the street and book a session with Ali Hohn Photography will get a free 11×14 so you better hurry in!

Stella

Today little Miss Stella came into the studio and oh my gosh I couldn’t have asked for a better baby! I have had some awesome babies lately!  They have been sleeping like champs!  I have an absolute amazing time photographing these little one’s.

Here’s a preview for her mommy Shelly!

Ellie!

Yesterday, I had the cutest little kids in to my studio!  Cara, called me on Friday asking if I would do newborn photos.  So, little miss Ellie came in with her big brother Gabe.  They drove an hour to get here too!  I was a little reluctant to take a 12 day old baby because I normally like them to be around 5-8 days old but Ellie was a super star!  She was absolutely amazing.  I held on to her after the shoot and just wanted to keep her. I told Cara and her mom they could leave Ellie with me and go home!  haha!!   Gabe was awesome too!  He’s such a cutie!

Here’s one of my favorites from yesterday!

Updates with Ali Hohn Photography!  I am no longer going to be working out of my home!  I am opening up a studio in downtown Northfield! There comes a point where you just gotta do what you want to do!  I am so incredibly excited!  Please watch out for upcoming classes, specials and a grand opening!

I can’t believe it!

Tonight has been huge for me. Seriously huge.  I very rarely photograph my daughter but I have been buying up Matilda Jane clothes because I simply adore them.  So, my clients who had a table and chairs brought it out to a field and I took photos of my clients and my daughter.  I will show my client’s photos a little later but I guess I’m the super proud mommy that actually got beautiful photos of my own daughter.

This shoot was an emotional one for me too.  I know it may seem cheesy to some but the bear in the photo means so much to me.  The day I found out I was pregnant with our daughter I went out and bought that bear and a pair of booties.  I had that on the table along with the pregnancy test waiting for my husband.  This is how I told my hubby we were finally pregnant.  Then when we lost our second baby I slept with this teddy bear for the first few nights because I was honestly such an emotional wreck.  A friend of mine had emailed me telling me her story and how she had bought a bear and slept with the bear after she lost her baby.  Her story touched me so much I just knew that that would comfort me.  So, I knew that since I didn’t have another child to put in with my daughter that I would put our little bear in there.  Hopefully, some day I will be able to put two kids in my photos some day.  Hopefully.:)

Anyway, I am emotional writing this too!  I am getting teary eyed about how much these photos mean to me.  This is really the first time my daughter has wanted to take photos.
