My Girl

The other night on a total whim, I asked Anna if she wanted to go take some photos.  She said no. As a photographer who has been cooped up inside because of our darn weather I was going to do anything to get her to say yes.  hehe.  Well, all I had to do in my little bag of tricks was tell her she could get a treat afterwards.  She wanted M&Ms!  We quickly curled the hair a bit and put on a cute dress and then just went up on the hill by our house.  And I got to photograph her for about 10 minutes.  We had a lot of fun.  I was trying to shoot more carefree and not so posed.  I feel like my style is ever evolving and I see all of these amazing images by photographers and I want to shoot that way.  I want kids to be kids and not so posed. I want my customers to come to me with crazy whacky cute outfits that totally wouldn’t make sense but would be so stinking cute and just let their kids play.  It’s not always about the best eye contact or the best smile, it’s about capturing that moment that is just your child.  You know what I’m talking about!  It’s just them!

Anna turned 5 last month and here are a couple pics in her new glasses!  This was the day of her birthday party and we had a Pancake and Pajama party.

It was so much fun!

You can see our house in the background! lol I may go back and re edit these b/c for some reason when i put them online they don’t look the same.:(

This is too funny of a post. I struggle to get my daughter to take pictures with me too. Sam’s has this huge 5lb bag of M&M’s that I often bribe her with :) Love this post!!

She’s beautiful and you are an AWESOME photographer as you well know :) So glad you got some fun pics…I have a problem getting Jaden to be carefree and not so posed. Working on it myself, xoxo
